When Writers Go Wrong (for the Holidays)
By Tiffany Rose
On the first day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
An epic on the high sea.
On the second day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Two characters in love,
On the third day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Three dead pens,
On the fourth day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Four typo-ed words,
On the fifth day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Five feels pulling heartstrings,
On the sixth day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Six plot bunnies a-playing,
On the seventh day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Seven coffee cups a-brewing,
On the eighth day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Eight days of world-building,
On the ninth day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Nine subplots advancing,
On the tenth day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Ten deadlines a-creeping,
On the eleventh day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Eleven writers typing,
On the twelfth day of Christmas,
My Nano project gave to me
Twelve headaches coming,
Twelve headaches coming,
Eleven writers typing,
Ten deadlines a-creeping,
Nine subplots advancing,
Eight days of world-building,
Seven coffee cups a-brewing,
Six plot bunnies a-playing,
Five feels pulling heartstrings,
Four typo-ed words,
Three dead pens,
Two characters in love,
And one epic on the high sea.
Err, Yup V, I did sing the whole thing!
