About V / Contact

My name is V, and I’m addicted to storytelling in all its glorious forms: journalism, marketing, social media, poetry, nonfiction, fiction…in my mind, these mediums exist primarily to spread and grow ideas by appealing to our emotions, embedding values, and encouraging compassion on a psychological level.

The stories people tell have a way of taking care of them. If stories come to you, care for them. And learn to give them away where they are needed.

Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive. That is why we put these stories in each other’s memories. This is how people care for themselves. – Barry Lopez

In the professional world, I use my storytelling abilities to help people sell themselves, their creations, their ideas, and their plans. Using my formal training as an investigative journalist to elicit information from even the most taciturn of sources, then applying my very diverse industry experience, research and creativity to the mix, I invent solutions to address the current (and future) needs of the market. I’ve done this all over the world, for almost fifteen years now. (Wow, time flies.)

I am also an author. (I auth. I have authed. I will continue to auth, probably until the day I die.) I write poetry, novels, and nonfiction as both Veronica Park and V.P. Anderson, and am represented by Mandy Hubbard at Emerald City Literary Agency.

I enjoy breaking outdated rules and smirking in the face of propriety, especially when it comes to gender-based tropes. I’ve experimented with various categories and genres, but my major quest is to create brave narratives for women of all ages.
